Event Details

Are you a 3rd-12th grader looking to test your chess skills? Join us for a Youth Chess Tournament! The tournament will have three rounds and will be NWSRS rated.  Swiss Pairings will be used, which means everyone playing will play all three rounds. USCF official rules will be used.  Tournament Director: Randy Walther

This event is only for players familiar with chess and recording their games' moves using chess notation.

All players must register to play in advance via email to randywalther@msn.com. Randy will confirm all entries via email.  Maximum of 12 players.  

Check-in will be from 12:10 to 12:25pm. Late players will not be able to join tournament play.

The 1st round will start at 12:30 pm or as soon as possible after check-in is closed.  Round 2 is scheduled to start at 1:30pm and Round 3 at 2:30pm.  

Time Control: 25 Minutes/Game with a 5 second delay.  Recording the moves of your games is required until one player's time is under five minutes.  

Tournament Chess sets, boards, and score sheets will be provided by the TD.  Please bring your digital delay chess clocks if you own one.
